President's MessageWhat great news for the Alumni Association! Our web page is up and running and can be seen at www.ghsalumni.info My thanks to the "behind the scene" people who made this possible. If you have not looked at the web page, please do so. I was told that a web page should always be considered "under construction", so let us know if you have any comments on how you like it or if you have suggestions that might make it better. This year we have no inductees into the Hall of Fame. However, our All-Class Brunch will still be held on Sunday, July 4th at Molly's in Greenhills. Mark your calendars and try to join us for the annual event. We will be honoring the GHS Class of 1960 celebrating their 50th year reunion. Cost of the brunch buffet will remain the same as in past years - $15 per person. Jackie Noble has agreed to handle the reservations again this year and I thank her for assuming this task. Please send in your reservation no later than June 28th to Jackie Noble - 42 Andover Road - Greenhills, OH 45218. Make checks payable to Greenhills HS Alumni Association and include the names of those attending. As I mentioned above, our web site Is now In operation. With this in mind, this Issue of the newsletter will be the final one mailed to our members. All future issues will be available on our web site. In our last issue, we asked that you let Jackie Noble know if you want to continue receiving It via the US Postal Service. She has heard from some members and we will continue to mail future copies to them. If you have not yet contacted Jackie, please do so as soon as possible. You can send a note to her at GHS Alumni Association, PO Box 18035, Greenhills, OH 45218 or to her directly at 42 Andover Road, Greenhills, OH 45218. Membership dues of $10 are renewable each July. We also offer a Lifetime membership for $100. These downloadable forms can be found on the web site. Dues from our membership continue to fund our scholarship program, allow us to sponsor community and school events, purchase supplies and equipment for the Pioneer Room in the Community Building, and pay up front costs associated with our organization. We have heard from many reunion committee members and information is listed elsewhere in the newsletter. Don't forget about our memorabilia items - t-shirts, cups, hats, tote bags, can koozies, key rings, etc. - that we have available for sale. The Pioneer Days festival this year will be held during the July 4th weekend. We need your participation and help, not only with our booth, but In general. Please consider volunteering so that this event will be a successful one. To volunteer or for further information, please contact jiveyrox@yahoo.com My thanks to all our present Alumni Association members for your continued support in keeping the spirit of Greenhills High School Pioneers alive. And, for those of you who are not yet members and are seeing this online, please consider joining the GHS Alumni Association. Looking forward to seeing you during the festival, at a summer concert, at a reunion or hearing from you online. Bobbe Maher Kugele To read and download the rest of the newsletter click here.
